Shrine Tripping! If you haven’t spent time investigating, you’d be amazed at the great number of shrines around the country that you can visit. They may have beautiful chapels, gift shops, retreat or guest accommodations, grounds to walk through and grottoes to visit. I have decided to make it my mission to visit as many as I can (time and budget permitting). Naturally, the ones close to home will be easiest to squeeze in but it is my hope that I can even get to a few in other time zones! Stay tuned — as I travel I will post planned locations here and then once I visit, pictures and a write-up will appear on the blog that you will be able to view by clicking links on this page or by browsing the Be Holy Blog page. Whether alone or with friends, I am hopeful that my travels will inspire you and perhaps one day you will want to consider some “Shrine-Tripping” of your own!

IN THE BOOKS!
Our Lady of Lebanon National Shrine – North Jackson, Ohio. Visited: 25 June 2018.
Beautiful Maronite Church and great gift-shop with some unique items I have not seen elsewhere. Friendly staff. Outdoor Stations. The tower is undergoing a face-lift but should be finished by August, in time for the Assumption 3 day celebration.
