12 March 2020, Thursday: “A Message of Love for Lent: The Gospel of John”  10 AM – 12 PMSaint Paul of the Cross Monastery Retreat Center, Pittsburgh, PA.  Daytime Talk. Love can be elusive, romantic, and desirable.  It seems to promise an extraordinary level of hope and happiness and we long to give it and to receive it even though we may find it fleeting, unpredictable, and at times painful.  What we tend to forget is that LOVE is intended to be the key to our salvation.  The Gospel of John invites us to come and see just what that means in a simple and profound message that is tied up in the simple request to abide in the love of Christ.  What more appropriate time than Lent to answer that invitation and explore how this message can illuminate the road to personal holiness and steer you onto the fast-track toward discipleship from which you’ll never turn back.
